Company Background

2003, by Cliff Barry

Cliff Barry Shadow Work Founder Trainer Mentor Facilitator Coach Boulder Colorado I have been so intent
on the sinking of my ship
that I was afraid to look
under the water.

Even in the life boat,
I was too busy to see
the other way.

But there it is.

Oh Sure,
I could fight to stay afloat.
For I have known the time
when it was important for me
to get what I wanted — what I needed
so that I could live well.

But now the time comes
to be learning
how to die well.

What do I want to see
when I look back
on my life?

For this I am learning
that instead of needing
to get it all together,
I need to let it
all come apart.

Instead of looking up
I can look down,
Under the water.

For this I am learning to sacrifice
what I want to have
for what I want to have happen.

And being a part of the water
floats some different boats.
