We believe that there is more than one truth for any situationand further that we all pick the "truths" that work best for us. Consequently, we believe that the truths we pick in Shadow Work® Coaching may not work for everyone. Those we've outlined here constitute only one map of the territorythey are not the territory itself. (The map of Nevada is not the same as the state of Nevada.) So when we are working with you, we like to follow from one step behind. If we introduce a concept that may challenge your belief system, we like to let you know instead of trying to slip it past your guard. We do not believe in pushing you further than you choose to go. We present you with enough options for any situation so that you can easily say "no" and we look together for another solution. We do not pretend to be therapists or experts in the use of traditional psychological methods. We see ourselves as guides and mentors who can work in collaboration with any psychological therapy you may be undergoing concurrently. We believe in sharing the process with you. We will share some of our own issues, to establish a sense of partnership through the process. We are not "the gurus." |
