SECTION 1. OUR LATEST CD
^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^

We are thrilled to offer you a deeply moving
experience on CD: “The Tombstone Process:
A New Way to Profoundly Transform Core Issues.”
If you’re finding it difficult to release an old pattern of
behavior or thought, it may be that you’re holding
onto it as a way of loving someone. We call that a
tombstone wound, and when you heal it, how deeply
you’ve been loving is revealed.  If you struggle with
relationships, this process can shift your perspective
with remarkable clarity and immediacy. The CD costs
only $19.95 plus shipping and handling, and we offer
a money-back guarantee, so you order without risk. ...

SECTION 2. HARRY POTTER AND THE SECRET
OF STARBUCKS
by Alyce Barry
^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^

I read the first Harry Potter book while stuck in an
airport several years ago, and I was dismayed at
how quickly I became an addict:  I consumed
volumes two and three in record time and waited
impatiently for the fourth to appear. When it did,
I devoured it in about a day and a half. I’d read
page-turners before, but that didn’t explain the
addiction to my satisfaction, and it didn’t explain
the lines of children (and adults!) lining up around
the world for Harry Potter paraphernalia. ...

SECTION 3.  LOOKING FOR A COACH?
^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^

If you’ve tried coaching and it turned out to be
more like cheerleading, take a look at Shadow
Work coaching. It offers a kind of emotional safety
that most people have never experienced before,
a safety that makes real change possible. While
we’ve always loved the warm glow of group seminars,
coaching offers an even deeper connection and the
complete privacy needed for working on the toughest
personal issues. We also enjoy coaching for the
flexibility it gives us to customize our model to your
      learning style. ...

SECTION 4.  UNDER THE WATER
A poem by Cliff Barry
^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^

This poem is about engaging with the second half of
life.  For example, I have been realizing lately that
my body now has things wrong which are not ever
going to get better.  Not serious things.  Just things
that aren't going to improve no matter what I do.
(Some of you may be able to identify!)  It's evident that
something is now on a downhill slope, rather than the
uphill crescendo I had always imagined my life would
be, from beginning to end, in every way.  (Okay, so I
was a little inflated in my visions of my life!)  So, this
poem came to me as I've been moving through the
ups and downs of facing this time of transition.  It
represents something I have learned, and something
      that now guides me. --CB

           UNDER THE WATER

           I have been so intent
on the sinking of my ship
that I was afraid to look
           under the water.

           Even in the life boat,
I was too busy to see
           the other way.

           But there it is.

           Oh Sure,
I could fight to stay afloat.
For I have known the time
when it was important for me
to get what I wanted - what I needed -
so that I could live well.

           But now the time comes
           to be learning
           how to die well.

What do I want to see
           when I look back
           on my life?

           For this I am learning
           that instead of needing
           to get it all together,
           I need to let it
           come apart.

           Instead of looking up
           I can look down,
           Under the water.

For this I am learning to sacrifice
           what I want to have
for what I want to have happen.

And being a part of the water
           floats some different boats.

SECTION 7.  FINAL WORDS
^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^=^

To close, we'd like to turn to Joseph Campbell,
who spoke in December, 1940 at Sarah Lawrence
College on the subject of important, permanently
human things we are likely to forget during a political
      crisis:

“Permanent things, of course, do not have to be
fought for -- they are permanent. We are not their
creators and defenders. Rather, it is our privilege
(our privilege as individuals, our privilege as nations)
to experience them. And it is our private loss if we
neglect them. We may fight for our right to experience
these values. But the fight must be conducted not
on a public battlefield. This fight must be conducted
in the individual mind. Public conquerors are frequently
the losers in this secret struggle. Permanent things,
furthermore, are not possessed exclusively by the
democracies; not exclusively even by the Western
      world.”                           -- Joseph Campbell
